Receiving a pallet goes more smoothly when the plan is made before the truck arrives. You need to know where the inventory is going, how it will be unloaded, what the receiving location can accommodate and how you will keep records tied to the correct lot.

This checklist helps organize those tasks for Secondipityโ€™s featured Pittston pallet assortment. Confirm the arrangements for your own order and follow the instructions supplied for that delivery or pickup.

Before ordering: confirm the receiving method

Decide whether you need buyer-paid freight or advance-arranged pickup. The published regional freight charges for the featured pallets are Eastern and Central $350 per pallet, Mountain $425 and Pacific $525. Liftgate service adds $100 once per delivery. Confirm destination coverage, receiving access and any additional service requirements rather than assuming the published rate covers an unlisted circumstance.

Tell us if the location has access constraints or if you are unsure what unloading equipment is needed. Ask about dimensions, weight and pallet count when these details affect your site or vehicle. A manifestโ€™s unit count is not a substitute for that information.

Before arrival: prepare a place for the full lot

  • Clear an appropriate receiving and staging area.
  • Confirm access, the unloading method and the people or equipment involved.
  • Keep the order confirmation, lot IDs and manifest images accessible.
  • Prepare a way to take clear photos and record notes.
  • Plan separate areas for unsorted inventory and items that need further review.

The featured lots are complete-pallet purchases. You will need a plan for the whole lot, including packaging and items that cannot be assessed immediately. Choose a storage approach appropriate to the categories involved and the information on their individual packaging.

At handover: identify and document

Match the shipment or collection information with your order and lot IDs. Record visible packaging or handling concerns and take photographs when appropriate and safe to do so. Keep the relevant delivery paperwork and communications with those records.

Carrier instructions and order-specific terms can affect what to do during a handover. Ask for clarification when you do not understand an instruction. This checklist does not establish a delivery-refusal rule, a claim deadline or a particular remedy; use the terms and instructions applicable to your order.

During unpacking: keep an organized record

Open and assess the inventory methodically. Where the manifest provides line-level details, use them to organize your review. Keep notes about quantities, item descriptions and condition questions with the correct lot ID.

If you are receiving more than one lot, do not mix the records or contents before you can identify them. Similar category names can make later reconciliation harder. For example, apparel lot PTBI12073 and apparel lot PTBI12168 have different unit counts and condition mixes despite sharing a broad category.

Review before preparing items for sale

Use the condition information to plan the next step for each category. Set aside items that need further evaluation. Keep your own inspection notes separate from the source manifest so you can distinguish what was listed from what you observed after arrival.

Allow time for sorting, appropriate inspection, testing where needed, photographs and storage. A listed unit count is not a promise that all units are ready to sell immediately. Our condition guide covers questions to ask about common source labels.

If you need help

Contact Secondipity with your order number, lot ID, a concise description of the issue and relevant photos or manifest page references. Preserve the records that explain the concern. Specific information helps the team identify the correct purchase and the question that needs attention.

For warehouse pickup, use the same recordkeeping approach and follow the agreed appointment and loading instructions. Free advance-arranged pickup applies only to the designated 21 featured pallet SKUs. Read the pickup guide before planning a visit.
