A useful pallet comparison makes the costs and assumptions visible. Start with the current product page and manifest, then add your receiving plan and the operating costs relevant to your business. Keep MSRP separate from the costs you will actually pay.

Worksheet 1: compare complete lots

Record these fields for each pallet you are considering
Field What to record
Lot ID and SKU The exact identifiers on the product page.
Category and listed units The contents and count shown in the manifest.
Condition mix Each source condition label and its listed count.
Listed total MSRP Reference retail value, separate from your expected selling prices.
Pallet price The current price for the complete lot.
Average acquisition cost Pallet price รท listed unit count.
Delivery or pickup Confirmed region and requirements, or your own collection plan.
Open questions Unclear manifest text, item details or receiving arrangements to resolve.

Worksheet 2: estimate pallet and delivery cost

Add the pallet prices for your selected lots. Add freight for each pallet using the confirmed destination region: Eastern $350, Central $350, Mountain $425 or Pacific $525 per pallet. Add $100 once for each delivery needing liftgate service.

Planning subtotal = pallet prices + regional freight per pallet + applicable liftgate per delivery. List any applicable tax or other confirmed charges separately. Confirm unclear destinations, residential or limited-access requirements and any service not specifically priced here before relying on a total.

For lot PTBH11973, the $864 pallet price plus $350 Eastern freight gives a $1,214 planning subtotal. With liftgate for that delivery, it becomes $1,314. Dividing by 42 listed units gives approximately $28.90 or $31.29 per unit respectively, before applicable tax and any other costs.

Worksheet 3: include your own operating costs

Add separate lines for collection travel, storage, preparation supplies, inspection or testing where appropriate, packaging and selling-channel costs. Consider the time involved as well as cash expenses. Do not apply a blanket assumption that every listed unit will be ready for sale.

Build at least two scenarios using your own assumptions: the listed-unit average and a more conservative case with fewer units prepared for sale. Label the assumed usable quantity clearly so it cannot be mistaken for a change to the manifest. This worksheet compares inputs; it does not forecast sales, profit or the outcome of a purchase.

Pickup comparison

For the designated 21 featured pallet SKUs, free advance-arranged Pittston pickup removes the delivery charge. Compare your vehicle, fuel, travel time and handling needs separately. Wait for an agreed appointment and loading instructions before traveling. See the pickup guide.

Finish by resolving the unknowns

A missing cost or unreadable manifest page is a question to answer, not a zero to enter. Use the landed-cost guide for more examples and ask about a pallet, delivery or pickup with your lot IDs and destination details when you need help.
