The removeable washable shell is tied in 8 locations around the interior perimeter to a 6lb weighted insert. The box-quilt design on the weighted insert keeps the glass beads from shifting and the weight evenly dispersed throughout the blanket and is filled with BPA, phthalate and lead-free micro glass pellets.
