No visible cracks or indications of them being improperly opened. The battery charged up in the expected time and has held its charge well this week.

These headphones are GREAT and so comfortable. My wife and I both have our own pairs now and can wear them without discomfort all day long. The sound quality is great and the noise cancelling is amazing, even if they are a couple of generations old now.
